I have wasted at least 9 hours on this problem today. From W8 desktop , I have consummate, normal access to the internet. There are no proxies involved, as confirmed by running netsh.
Method 1: The fourth dimension on my desktop machine is but fine.
Method two:
- This app tells me that my screen resolution is as well low , and then suggests lowering information technology from its actual resolution, which is higher than the recommended minimum. This is a bug in the program.
- Check for missing or corrupt files -> detected w/ yellowish exclamation
Repair missing or corrupt files -> completed
Detection details/Service condition -> Problem with BITS service : The requested service has already been started. More aid is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2181
- Reboot and the problem persists
- Removed files from ProgramData/Microsoft/network/Downloader; rebooted and the problem persists.
Method three: Not relevant equally at that place are no proxies in utilise. Checking IE confirms this.
Method 4: No problems are found, which is unsurprising; after all, I can employ the internet merely fine.
Method 5: Opens the Shop, where I proceed to come across: "Nosotros weren't able to connect to the Store. This might take happened because of a server problem to the network connectedness timed out. Please wait a few minutes and endeavour once again." I have been trying for over 9 hours.
I tin login to my Microsoft account from other W8 machines in my domain just fine. I can login using IE on the desktop. I can open SkyDrive on the desktop and, responding to its prompts, successfully log in to my Microsoft business relationship. Only Windows Apps cannot admission my Microsoft business relationship.
In a foolish attempt to set up this, I disconnected my domain business relationship from my Microsoft account on this desktop. I cannot connect it again. The error message reads: "Sad, we couldn't connect to Microsoft services right now. If this problem persists, search 'network bug' on the Offset screen."
I am at wits end. It is at present probably closer to 10 hours I've wasted on this today. Doing a refresh install is NOT an option, as I would have to reload all my software, which would take another x hours. I must say I take never seen a buggier Os in close to xxx years in the field. I suppose my next step is to burn down my one MSDN support ticket.

I began uninstalling programs one-by-one. The problem was solved afterward I uninstalled a plan chosen Proxifier, which I had installed a long time ago, had not used in quite a while, and, as far as I could tell, was not retention resident. My guess is that its installation fix some registry keys that were removed when I uninstalled it.
Therefore, I suggest that anyone who has this similar trouble check to come across if at that place are whatever like proxy programs installed...even if you do non think that they are running.
Hope this helps.
/Joel

I have also verified that Proxifier was the culprit. The program was non fifty-fifty running, and I was using no proxy server, however uninstalling this programme immune me to connect with a Microsoft account and I am at present able to use the Windows 8 shop.
Thanks for this discover!
